Chilli Chicken in Omichef Triply Wok

Chilli Chicken is a signature Indo-Chinese dish that requires crispy chicken, bold sauces, and high heat tossing. The Omichef Triply Wok makes this process seamless by allowing you to fry, sauté, and toss - all in one cookware.

Ingredients

For chicken:

  • 300 g boneless chicken
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp maida
  • Salt, pepper
  • Oil

For sauce:

  • 1 onion, cubed
  • 1 capsicum, cubed
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Step-by-Step Method

  1. Marinate chicken with cornflour, maida, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in the Omichef Triply Wok and fry chicken pieces until golden and crispy. Remove and keep aside.
  3. In the same triply Chinese wok, remove excess oil and keep 1-2 tbsp.
  4. Heat on high flame.
  5. Add garlic and sauté quickly.
  6. Add onions and capsicum and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  7. Add soy sauce, chilli sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and pepper.
  8. Add a little water and bring to a quick boil.
  9. Add fried chicken and toss well.
  10. Cook on high heat until sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
  11. Serve hot.
