Crispy Laccha Paratha on Omichef Cast Iron Roti Tawa

Laccha paratha needs strong and even heat to make the layers crisp and flaky. The Omichef Cast Iron Roti Tawa is ideal because it keeps heat steady and helps each layer cook beautifully without burning.

Ingredients

For paratha dough:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Water as needed
  • Ghee for layering
  • Dry flour for rolling

Step-by-Step Method

  1. Add wheat flour, salt, oil, and water to a bowl.
  2. Knead into a soft dough and rest for 20 minutes.
  3. Take one dough ball and roll it into a thin circle.
  4. Apply ghee and sprinkle dry flour over it.
  5. Fold it like pleats and roll into a spiral shape.
  6. Roll again gently into a paratha.
  7. Heat the Omichef Cast Iron Roti Tawa on medium flame.
  8. Place the paratha on the tawa and cook until spots appear.
  9. Flip and apply ghee on both sides.
  10. Cook until golden, crispy, and flaky.
  11. Serve hot with curry, dal, pickle, or curd.

Why Omichef Works Best

The Omichef Cast Iron Roti Tawa gives strong heat retention, which helps parathas become crisp and evenly cooked. It is great for laccha paratha, plain paratha, tandoori-style roti, and flatbreads.
