Crispy Aloo Tikki on Omichef Cast Iron Skillet Pan

Aloo tikki needs steady heat to become crisp from outside and soft from inside. The Omichef Cast Iron Skillet Pan helps cook the tikki evenly and gives it a beautiful golden crust with traditional street-style flavor.

Ingredients

For aloo tikki:

  • 4 boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs or poha powder
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil or ghee for shallow frying

Step-by-Step Method

  1. Add mashed potatoes to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add bread crumbs, green chili, ginger paste, spices, coriander, and salt.
  3. Mix everything well and make a firm mixture.
  4. Shape the mixture into round flat tikkis.
  5. Heat the Omichef Cast Iron Skillet Pan on medium flame.
  6. Add a little oil or ghee to the skillet.
  7. Place the tikkis carefully on the hot skillet.
  8. Cook until the bottom side turns golden and crisp.
  9. Flip and cook the other side evenly.
  10. Serve hot with chutney, curd, or chaat toppings.

Why Omichef Works Best

The Omichef Cast Iron Skillet Pan gives deep and steady heat, which helps create a crisp outer layer without burning quickly. It is perfect for aloo tikki, cutlets, patties, and shallow-fried snacks.
