Sweet banana paniyaram is a quick dessert-style snack made with ripe bananas, jaggery, and flour. The Omichef Cast Iron Paniyaram Pan gives it a golden crust while keeping the inside soft, sweet, and fluffy.

Ingredients

For sweet paniyaram batter:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup jaggery powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts
  • A pinch of salt
  • Water as needed
  • Ghee or oil for cooking

Step-by-Step Method

  1. Mash ripe bananas in a bowl.
  2. Add wheat flour, rice flour, jaggery powder, cardamom powder, coconut, nuts, and salt.
  3. Add water slowly and mix into a thick batter.
  4. Rest the batter for 10 minutes.
  5. Heat the Omichef Cast Iron Paniyaram Pan on low to medium flame.
  6. Add a little ghee or oil in each cavity.
  7. Pour the batter into each cavity.
  8. Cover and cook until the bottom turns golden.
  9. Flip gently and cook the other side.
  10. Remove when both sides are golden brown.
  11. Serve warm as a sweet snack or dessert.
